Hannah Frank - 75 years a Glasgow Artist

From 28 January for 2 weeks, a major retrospective of Hannah Frank's work is due to be exhibited in Glasgow at the Royal Glasgow Institute Kelly Gallery. The exhibition of Hannah Frank's work will focus on drawings, sculpture and early family sketches.

Hannah Frank, health permitting will actually be appearing at one or two of the events. It is a remarkable feat, she was born in 1908 and is the last living link to the Art Nouveau movement. You can see this looking at much of her work. The art nouveau influence is present in many of the pieces displayed on the Hannah Frank website. My personal favourites are the sculptures - fantastic stuff. Many of the nouveau style line and ink drawings are also extremely stunning pieces.

Aside from the actual exhibition there are 4 talks, including one sketching workshop where you can explore your own expressive drawing.
