One of my favourite painters, and probably one of Scotland's favourite painters of the moment is John Lowrie Morrison, also know as JoLoMo from the way he signs his paintings.
I don't know how art society describes JoLoMo's paintings, but to me they appear as mental colourful landscapes almost ready to burst because there is so much energy and colour in them.
JoLoMo's originals still start at reasonable prices for an artist of this calibre, and we're hoping one day to be able to buy one. His original paintings can also go for thousands though I believe, and rightly so.
I don't know anything about the man. I did read somewhere that he gives a lot of his proceeds to charity which is laudable in this day. We're also lucky to be able to buy prints, cards and other items created from the original art so that we've got something to take home if we can't just afford the real painting.
